- Description
- Sodium hydroxide (NaOH) is a caustic reagent that is widely used to neutralize acids and prepare sodium salts of reagents. Has also been used with Sodium Dodecyl Sulfate (sc-264510) to make and SDS/NaOH solution for the decontamination of mycobacteria. NaOH has been used at a 50 mM concentration in the transfer procedure of RNA gel blots.
