cyclin D1 Antibody (DCS-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects cyclin D1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), flow cytometry (FCM), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). cyclin D1 Antibody (DCS-6) is available in both conjugated and non-conjugated forms, providing flexibility for various experimental needs. cyclin D1 plays a pivotal role in cell cycle regulation, particularly in the transition from G1 phase to S phase, where cyclin D1 is essential for cell progression into DNA synthesis. This regulation is crucial because improper control of the cell cycle can lead to uncontrolled cell proliferation, a hallmark of cancer. cyclin D1 interacts with cyclin-dependent kinases (CDKs) to phosphorylate the retinoblastoma protein, which releases E2F transcription factors that drive the expression of genes necessary for S phase entry.
