SEE ALSO...

ARF3 Antibody (41) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects ARF3 protein of mouse, rat, human, and canine origin by western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). Anti-ARF3 antibody (41) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including horseradish peroxidase (HRP), providing flexibility for different experimental needs. ADP-ribosylation factor 3 (ARF3) is a crucial member of the ARF protein family, which is part of the Ras superfamily of regulatory GTP-binding proteins. This 181 amino acid protein is primarily localized to the Golgi apparatus, where ARF3 plays a vital role in vesicle trafficking and signal transduction within eukaryotic cells. Proper functioning of ARF3 is essential for maintaining organelle integrity, as ARF3 is involved in the assembly of coat proteins and the activation of phospholipase D, which are critical for membrane dynamics and cellular communication. ARF3 interacts with specific proteins such as PICK1, which may influence the budding and uncoating of vesicles in the Golgi apparatus, thereby impacting the overall efficiency of intracellular transport processes. ARF3 is known to activate cholera toxin and is mapped to human chromosome 12q13.12, highlighting ARF3′s significance in both cellular function and potential implications in disease mechanisms.
