γ-synuclein Antibody (E-20): sc-10698

 |  Datasheet

(Based on data analysis)

  • γ-synuclein Antibody (E-20) is a goat polyclonal IgG provided at 200 µg/ml
  • epitope mapping within an internal region of γ-synuclein of human origin
  • recommended for detection of γ-synuclein of mouse, rat and human origin by WB, IP, IF, IHC(P) and ELISA; also reactive with additional species, including porcine
  • blocking peptide, sc-10698 P
  • See 10 citations for γ-synuclein Antibody (E-20)

See additional synuclein Antibodies including synuclein, alpha-synuclein, beta-synuclein and gamma-synuclein.

The synucleins, including å-synuclein (also designated NACP for nonamyloid component precursor), ∫-synuclein (also designated PNP 14 for phospho-neuroprotein 14) and ©-synuclein (also designated persyn or BCSG1 for breast cancer-specific gene 1) are presynaptic proteins abundant in neurons. Synucleins are predominantly expressed in the brain and are speculated to be involved in synaptic regulation and neuronal plasticity. å-Synuclein, identified as a component of Alzheimer’s disease amyloid plaques, is localized to neuronal cell bodies and synapses. Coordinate expression of å-synuclein and ∫-synuclein may be important during hematopoetic cell differentiation. A mutant form of å-synuclein is found in patients with early onset Parkinson’s disease. ©-Synuclein is associated with axonal pathology in Parkinson’s disease.
