RUNX3 Antibody (R3-5G4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects RUNX3 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry. anti-RUNX3 antibody (R3-5G4) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. RUNX3, a member of the Runt-related transcription factor family, plays a crucial role in regulating gene expression related to cellular differentiation and cell cycle progression. RUNX3 is predominantly expressed in hematopoietic cells, including myeloid and B-cell lines, as well as in the spleen. RUNX3 is involved in the growth and differentiation of gastric epithelial cells, positioning RUNX3 as a significant candidate for gastric cancer tumor suppression. RUNX3 function is particularly important because hypermethylation of the RUNX3 gene can lead to inactivation, which has been implicated in the development of gastric cancer. Detection of hypermethylation within the RUNX3 CpG island can serve as a valuable biomarker for diagnosing and assessing the risk of gastric cancer, highlighting RUNX3′s importance in both cancer biology and potential therapeutic strategies.
