B-ATF Antibody (WW8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects B-ATF protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-B-ATF antibody (WW8) is available as the non-conjugated format. B-ATF protein, also known as Basic Leucine Zipper ATF-Like Transcription Factor, plays a crucial role in regulating gene expression, particularly in immune responses, by modulating AP-1 transcription complex activity. B-ATF protein is primarily located in the nucleus, where B-ATF protein interacts with DNA to influence transcriptional activity. Nuclear localization of B-ATF is essential for function, allowing direct engagement with specific gene promoters and enhancers, thereby regulating expression of genes involved in T and B lymphocyte activation. B-ATF forms heterodimers with c-Jun, enhancing DNA binding ability to AP-1 sites, which is vital for transcriptional regulation of genes responding to various stimuli, including cytokines and growth factors.
